Adding this buffet house to our long list of tried and crossing it out to our pending to be reviewed eat-outs…

The place also offers ala carte dishes so if you’re not into the unli meat, you can try checking out their menu.

The Banchan/ Side Dishes:

Kimchi – the most basic of all Korean restaurants, napa cabbage kimchi. This traditional fermented side dish tastes better as it grows older. The ones that they serve are practically not well fermented which is usually the case on all unlimited K-restaurants.

Marbled Potato – it might look like a soy-based dish but this is actually sweetened potato much more like our version of Kamote-Q .

Haemul Pajeon – well, haemul literally means seafood but the ones they have are all veggies mixed in it. There might be some pieces of octopus there somewhere but it did not land on my chosen pieces.

Veggie Fritters – it consists of green peppers and carrots fried it their mixed batter.

Odeng Au Bokum -  I was looking for the fish cake but it was nowhere to be found. I’m rationally thinking that maybe the label got mixed up since all I see is tofu in there. Don’t be misled I like this side the most, it’s just that the label is wrong.

Cold cucumbers -  not a fan of cucumbers so did not try it, but looks so refreshing as it has ice on it.

Beef bulgogi -  I did not have a pic of this since it was all gone by the time I went back for seconds now talk about tasty.

Japchae - not a fan of this noodle dish so I pass through it.

Kimchi Fried Rice - its your typical fried rice using the kimchi sauce as its base and color. White Rice is also available on the side served in a large rice cooker.

Mixed Salad – it is a mixed greens and the sauce is on its side if you choose to have it.

Seawood soup is also available along with some kimbap. Lettuce and the sauce are all available in the buffet. I would like it better if the bean paste is saltier but it’s just me.

For desserts, they serve unlimited Jelly and fruits and if that is not enough you can buy ice cream ala carte near the counter.

As for the unli beef and pork, I want my samgyupsal(pork) 1 cm. thicker and my woosamgyup(beef) paper thin. They serve the pork and beef slices almost the same and identical to each other although you will figure it out since beef tends to have redder color than pork.

**The very downside of this place is you can see baby roaches here and there. My sister found one on her sit, I saw one on the walls and my sister-in-law picked one on her sauce.

Good food and good company are the best combination in life. Sad to say some of our friends decided to ditch us on the day we planned to fill our tummies with food and laughter.

I hope this entry will fill your cravings. =)

Known as “Little Maginhawa” General Luna St. is a promising food haven for all. We passed by almost half a dozen café and food shops ranging from posh to plain stalls.

Mflores
Who would go to Malabon and not eat their claim to fame “Pansit Malabon” right?
I don’t know if it just the lighting but that plate is picture perfect and the taste is as good. Topped with generous seafood and veggies, you can’t help but to savor all in one bite.

FYI for non-native:
Pansit Malabon is a yellow-orange colored noodle dish made with patis (fish sauce) and crab fat. Usually topped with meat, seafood and egg.

Pork Sisig
Mflores version of sisig is non-sizzling type. The flawless mayo-mixed sauce brought all the ingredients together. Watch out though, it was insanely delicious that I didn’t realize that it was spicy. By the time we finished ¾ of it my lips are starting to burn. T_T.

Cocina Luna
Perfect for friends’ gather place- with cozy, hip and trendy interiors plus subtle background music is a sure to win millennials’ hearts.

Pulled Pork Burgers 159
Seasoned with BBQ sauce, these three-piece dinner bun is a success. It has bacon, cheese and onion rings, a combination that will never go wrong.

As much as I want to order more from their 2-page menu, I was reminded that our food crawl is far from over so I have to settle with “I can order you next time” feel.

As per my friend, the restroom was really nice with stylish reminder on etiquette.

Bambinellie’s
Concepcion offers a lot of cafés, what strikes this place the most is its happy well-lit interior.
They offer a lot in their menu from simple main dishes to overgenerous desserts.
I actually forgot the names of our dessert orders.

So these are our orders:
The Waffle type dessert consists of kisses, chocolate coated candies, multi-colored sprinkles and Ferrero on top drizzled with generous chocolate syrup. I hope you’ve checked your sugar level coz this one is killer! =)

The Drink
This colorful drink is a toothache in a jar. Make sure you had your dentist’s appointment after this.
It comprises of choco candies, brownie, wafer, all-time kid snack iced gems and that sweetmeat hard candy at the back that screams pretty and deadly.

We really wanted to try their main dishes but my belly is shrieking stop… =)

Zoey’s
We did not try their burgers and opted to try their Zoey’s Spicy Sausage.
I’ll give it an OK rating. It was not that spicy, I was imagining teary-eyed, numb-tongue, and who am I taste experience but I was somewhat disappointed that it wasn’t fiery. You might to try it, maybe we just have different spiciness gauge right?

Cups N Cones
To end our day right, we opted for a café near Zoey’s.

Our orders:
Salmon Salad 220 Php
One of the most memorable food we had eaten, savory and non-fishy, tasty and healthy. The fish is cooked right and the lettuce, cherry tomatoes and cheese are the right amount.

Baked Mac 160 Php
Not exceptional. I suggest trying something else.

Frozen Calamansi 60 Php
Only took a sip since it’s not my order to begin with, I liked their version of calamansi juice since the sweetness and tanginess is well balanced and preserved.

Caramel  Macchiato 100 Php
Perfect ending for my belly-full.

Cocina Luna's Red Door

Conventional pizza joint is always a comfort food but what makes CPK different? It boasts about bringing innovative recipes to life with fresh, high quality ingredients.

OUR ORDERS:

 Quesadilla 195 Php
Velveeta and Monterey Jack cheese, chicken, roasted corn and black bean relish, cilantro, jalapeño, drizzled with ranch dressing and topped with tortilla strips. Served with tomato salsa. For a starter, it really paved way to all of the food that was about to come.

Mushroom Dip 195 Php
Abalone, shiitake and button mushrooms oven baked with queso quesadilla and parmesan served with crostinis.

Portobello Mushroom Ravioli 375 Php (personal)
Cremini, Shiitake, Mozzarella and Ricotta ravioli in roasted garlic cream sauce and Parmesan. Love, love and love it.

Baked Penne Florentine 450 Php

Shrimp Scampi Zucchini Fettuccine 525 Php
Sautéed with lemon, garlic and white wine tossed with zucchini ribbons, fettuccine, parsley and Parmesan. It was light and refreshing definitely in to my calorie count.

The Original BBQ Chicken 245 Php
Their legendary BBQ sauce, smoked Gouda, red onions and cilantro transform this original to iconic. I have to agree this was L-E-G-E-N (wait for it) D-A-R-Y. If you’re not a fan of hand-tossed pizza, you can always ask for crispy thin crust and add 75 Php.

Mushroom Pepperoni Sausage 295 Php
Mushrooms, rustic pepperoni, spicy Italian sausage, torn basil, Mozzarella and oregano; they dubbed it as "MuPeSa" (mup-suh). I was disappointed visually but you know toss all that good ingredients bake it and nothing will ever go wrong.

Forgotten Pizza
I honestly forgot this pizza and what it tastes like. Oh well, it’s one those food that literally passed through your life that you have no recollection of eating.

Cranberry Walnut Chicken 295 Php
Grilled chicken, dried cranberries, walnut, celery, onions, mayonnaise, tomatoes and lettuce served with fries. I figuratively fainted when I tasted this; it was altogether savory, sweet, crunchy and green-y. I found my perfect sandwich.

Crispy Chicken 325 Php
A baby serving of chicken and fries; perfect items for kids eating tug of war style.

Say Cheese Milkshake 275 Php
Tagged as their must-try. Its mixture of mozzarella smoked gouda, monterey jack and shaved Parmesan blended with vanilla ice cream topped with whipped cream and Nueske's applewood smoked bacon.

Red Velvet 275 Php
Now that the red velvet craze died down, I now appreciate drinks made out of the cream cheese goodness. Definitely a thumbs–up.

Chocolate Banana Smoothie 195 Php
My sis loves banana so no comment. =)

Pecorino Romano Cheesecake with Raspberry Puree 245 Php
The loooooonnnngggg name took me a short time to finish this dish. Yep, it’s THAT good.

Red Velvet Cookie Sundae 125 Php
I know I had the Red velvet milkshake but dessert is whole new different entity. I don’t see the redundancy of eating this in one seating so they happily reunited in my tummy.

The Side Story...
Back to the question if “Can Pizza Kill”, well technically no but combined with all these delicious fare its hard to tell, I was concentrating to burp - not barf.
