This is one of Mom’s fave casual dining resto. FocacciaRestaurant is an Italian restaurant located @ A.Venue Makati Ave, Makati City.
As you order, expect waiting minutes to be longer than
usual but fret not since they serve their signature focaccia bread with the
perfect pairing of olive oil and vinaigrette. For me, this is the main dish of
the place... hahaha...
Our Orders:
Shrimp Scampi 280 Php
As much as I loved the shrimp and its oil, I think they served this way too oily. But hey, I still loved it. It was created with the perfect combination of garlic and parsley with butter and a hint of lemon juice.
Calamari Fritti 240 Php
One of our staple appetizer choice. =). Although the picture didn’t justify the taste, we liked so much that it was already missing few pieces when we took a picture. It was fried to perfection topped with parmesan cheese and complimented by its aioli sauce.
Quattro Formaggi 420 Php
Focaccia's pizza is branded as Pazzo Rollio Crazy Rolls. We ordered a classic and an all time favorite flavor. Nothing goes wrong with a four cheese pizza (parmesan, cheddar, fetta and cream cheese) served with arugula and alfalfa. The pizza is cut diagonally for your strip pizza, grab arugula and alfalfa then roll.... repeat until fully satisfied...
Scallopine alla Marsala 380 Php
Couldn’t get a better picture of this, and I can’t remember why. Maybe I was hungry then and didn’t give full attention to it.
This main course is pounded beef tenderloin braised in marsala wine served with angel hair pasta. We liked its combination and complete the wholeness of our orders.
The Side Story...
“Tara busog na ko!” the common joke of Filipinos when eating their complimentary basket of appetizer as we wait for the ordered food. Tsktsk... An old joke from our mom.
