I swear, there are a lot of times that I stopped, watched and even mimic the dialogue that was on going at the moment then I realized (I’m not at home and reminded myself to stop doing dorky stuff at the presence of another human being.)

Another special feature of the place is none other than the collection of action figures of old and new (soon to be a classic) movies. They also have the broom Nimbus 2000 which I can’t believe that it was 13 years ago since it was a big hit and everyone in high school knows all about it. My judgment was clouded when I saw the collection of Johnny Depp’s portrayals (even Rango was there). See? That’s my sooo in love smile... =)

MY VIBES: As our usual saying goes, "Can't decide? Get them all." 

I always love the simple yet sophisticated taste of a 4 cheese pizza. In this case, the combination of the cheeses is delightful, tasteful, flavorful and wonderful. 4 Fulls for 4 cheese! 

Not much of a red and green capsicum fan so that’s why this one’s not listed as a personal fave but hey it can be listed as one of yours. It contains generous heaps of meat and loads of cheese.

  

The Two Towers 270 Php

The deep fried squid and onion rings served with lime mayo sauce is a keeper plus I have to admit the title is clever that makes it more irresistible. The golden texture of squid and onion with masses of fries.

 The Grinch 280 Php

The garlic pesto pasta with Hungarian sausage deserves a colossal smile despite the title suggests as a perfect mix of sauce and bread sticks are served.

Sebastian 280 Php

Yes. You’ve read it right, as the label hinted away it contains crab (remember Ariel’s godfather Sebastian on Little Mermaid) specifically aligue then topped with crispy fried crabsticks. What can I say? Aligue never fails. Highly and outwardly recommended.

We loved the place as much as we hated our friend who is unbelievably late for 2.5 hours. We almost watched LOTR all the way. What’s worse is we held on to the table on a crowded day. Thank you SCI-FI Café for not pressuring us about it. =)

Greeted by typhoon ladies, we made our way up to their location @ 2^nd Flr.Typhoon Restaurant and Bar located at the A.Venue Events Mall, Makati Ave., Makati City.

Upon entering, the delightful aroma of their soups stirs up satisfaction and conjures comfort and nourishment in every sniff. Here, they take their soups seriously. The menus are very extensive that it varies from Asian and Western style soups.

OUR ORDERS:

SATAY Style Soup 368 Php plus Australian Beef Set 388 Php

This one was ordered by our family friend and feels like it has the healthy look with it since it was loved by a doctor. Equally distributed amount of fat on the marbled meat was served tagging along a huge pot of soup with the set orders that include one of every each vegetables, seafood balls, meat balls and sotanghon. You can describe it as all in one.

HONG KONG Style Soup 288 Php plus Australian Lamb Set 488 Php

I ordered this set and I gave it a good “ohhh” once the meat sets on the table accompanied with all the greens and everythings. It tortures me to wait for the soup to boil and add all that little colorful and deliciously looking thingy then put that bunch on the broth that leaves that craving tangy smell.

Protein Fish Soup 398 Php plus Round Top Beef Set 388 Php

Not much of a Fishitarian here but by the looks of it, quite promising and drool worthy .They had a blast in devouring the soup and all its contents. What shocks me the most is after all that eating, chomping and munching there is still more. Yes, there is still room for a take-out container.

Shrimp wanton 110 Php

My mom ordered this one as she is not in the mood of eating since its only been 2 weeks from recovery after her surgery.

MY VIBES: We will definitely go back. It saddened me that the ginseng chicken was not available at that time. I’m planning to order more but I guess gluttony does have its limit.

There was a foreigner beside us (Thai woman, I think) and she just loves the spicy seasoning available on the side of the area and she was crying her eyes out by the spiciness of her own made sauce. I’m so jealous that I wanted some for myself but I’m not yet allowed to do so (damn these meds).

15/05/2013 – Me and my family visited "THE BIG BAD WOLF" and it was the wrong date to do so. Firstly, there are a lot of people (don’t know why but probably because its payday or as they said that the place had an event booked at that time).  Secondly, a lot of their menu item which was ‘deliciously described’ are unavailable (i.e. Aligue Pasta, Shrimp Gambas in Crab Fat, the Goat Cheese and Chorizo Rolls and Blue Marlin Salpicao). T_T . Just reading them makes me drool and unfortunately this will be added to the list of next time...

BBW is located @ Grnd flr. Fairways Tower, 5th ave cor. Mckinley Road, Bonifacio Global City, their area is hidden on the side of Malcom’s Deli.

Since we dined outside and it is around 9PM, the pictures are not as HD as I wanted them to be.... (huhuhu!!)

Parma Ham Pizza – 380 Php

MY VIBES: This was served in a wooden chopping board that gives an appetizing feel. As for the taste, your ordinary home cooked pizza will probably be same as this one.

Chicken Waffle with Sausage Gravy – 255 Php

 My 7-year old nephew loved it. I only had a bite since it was gone in a blink. Needless to say it was that good.

Dory Fillet Wrapped in Bacon – 375 Php

 I liked the pasta accompanying it and since I’m not a Fishitarian (my own way of saying someone who loves to eat fish) the dory is cooked nice without the fishy taste.

Poached Egg Carbonara – 295 Php

 Not good. Truffle oil is overpowering the dish plus I didn’t feel the poached egg anywhere.

Grilled Angus Rib Eye 300g – 890 Php

Served in a chopping board and cooked as medium as requested and it was indeed pinkish and sooo yumyum or should I say nomnom?

Roast Beef - 430 Php
Angus Roast Beef  served with mashed potatoes and onion bread. The Angus Beef is combined with spices and seasoning, a touch of black pepper, then roasted for a moist roast beef texture and mouth watering taste. 

Pesto Rubbed Grilled Chicken – 390 php

I will give this one 50/50. I don’t like too much pesto but this one was served a little less pesto in it.

The sides can be changed to: Sauteed Spinach, Mashed Potatoes, Sauteed Potatoes, Dirty Rice (semi-spicy) or Plain Rice. Extra Sidings are 40 Php.





Pan-Seared Norwegian Salmon – 490 Php

It was cooked perfectly, not dry nor sloppy and doesn’t have the fishy taste either; though I want the sauce to be stronger in flavor.

ü   I recommend myself to go back and have a taste on the menu items I didn’t get a chance to munch. T_T

ü  Good for barkada dine since they offer a lot of cocktails.

ü  Service is kind of slow.

ü  Restroom is clean.

ü  The only branch.

The Side Story...

Our attendant said that all shrimp menu was unavailable so I had to cross out a lot of items, and then I said ok, next thing I said is “one Blue Marlin Salpicao”, he answered “Wala din po”. In my mind, the song “ORDERTAKER” by Parokya ni Edgar is buzzing. Since he was very apologetic about it, I just give a deep sigh to calm myself and order something available. (Control yourself YZ... control yourself... {My mantra for the night}).


For Dessert here's a Mango Torte from Dulcelin Gourmet...
